May Newsletter of Neighbourhood Watch

Posted: Sun, 26 Apr 2020 20:57 by Sue Dunkley

The current situation is unprecedented and we can all see that it is having an impact on daily life for us all, whether we are in self isolation, in an 'at risk' or vulnerable group or just trying to continue with daily life in these difficult times.

We are fortunate in Risley and Hopwell to have a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and a group of volunteers which has been set up in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, details can be seen in the newsletters under the News section. More »

Would parents please note that the fixed Play Area has been closed in accordance with the Government's advice in order to protect children from coming into any the virus. The open area is still accessible and the Parish Council reminds everyone to ensure that they follow the social distancing measures at all times.

It would be appreciated if dog owners would pick up after their pets if using the play area, especially as children may be using the open area for exercise. Thank you

Dear Residents
I am sure you will all have realised that we are currently unable to hold Parish Council meetings with the Government's movement & social distancing restrictions. Also a number of the Parish Council members are self-isolating as they fall within a vulnerable group.
The National Association of Local Councils and Government have now created legislation to cover this lockdown period and I can confirm that the Annual Meeting of the Parish and the Annual General Meeting will NOT be held in May.

If you need to contact the Parish Council I am still contactable on the email address (clerk@risleywithhopwellparishcouncil.org.uk) or on the telephone number shown below.

Take care and stay safe,
Clerk to the Parish Council » Less
